Question How to go around to fight your copyright protected content?

I see more and more articles of ours been published on several competitors website, now I don't want them to copy our work and need some efficient way to get them taking this stuff down, also does anyone know if it will have any impact towards Google?

Well I have not hear anything related to this, BUT I am pretty sure that the things you are using in your website are own by your company. You must write at the bottom of your website something like:
    Copyright ©2000 - 2011, xxxxxx .
    xxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxxxx 2008 - 2011 xxxxxxxxxx

With this i guess you will be protected.

In fact last year at IBA meeting there was a conference related to the website domains and the impact of them as a trademark.

    Hope it helps.
