    Thumbs up Fake furnitures sold in the UK is it legal?

    Considering selling fake furniture’s from the UK because of easy shipping and some good connections I have there I was looking into this. I know at least from 2 other companies in the UK that they are doing very well and they sell their furniture’s to all over Europe!

    Is there anyone that knows if all this is legal?

    It is legal as long as you ship from the UK and only to EU countries.

    Depends on the country.

    In Germany there have been already lawsuits against sellers of fake designer furniture. So I would not recommend you to sell it to Germany.

    So, selling fake designer furnitures isn't legal? How comes that many companies are selling them and so for some years now? It is a interesting question since I found some subsuppliers which will do the shipping and everything I just need to take the orders.

    You can sell all stuff you want, even fake furniture or any other fake thing you are thinking of.

    But beware if the owner of the patent or copyright knows it.

    All I can say it that there were a few companies on an event here in Germany and the owner of the patent ( or copyright) has sent the customs and the police to them. The fake stuff was taken by the customs and the companies CEO where arrested and they only could fly back to China, Shanghai and Japan after paying around 100 000 Euros.

    @Safa
    Customs has a list of fake furniture and other fake goods. If you sent them to Germany they catch it out and destroy it. Your customer will wait for it and never get it and you will have to pay him the money back, but you still have to pay your dropshipper...

    why not just market the furniture as a knock off rather then a fake? drop the phony vanity names and just market it as an imitation. I don't think its impossible to do that, you might have to research

    Thats a great advice, if you market them as imitation it is legal!

    No, that depends on the owner of the patent or license.

    Not all countries allow imitations. So beware of what you are doing.

    Bauhaus furniture is such a case. An Italian company was rebuilding them and called them "imitation".

    And they lost at the court-Bauhaus still has the right to let these furniture get burned by the customs. Wichtiges Urteil zu Bauhaus-Plagiaten
