Default Accept credit/debit cards payments with API

    Hi,

i am glad i found this great forum.

We have a company in Eastern Europe (EU member) and we offer different herbal supplements which are 100% pure and natural.

We are looking for accepting payments through API (merchant account + payment gateway) because it will give a freedom to our online business than hosted page for example.

I have several questions and if somebody could help it will be really great:

    - Is it possible to find such a service at first place (i have noticed that for merchant account we should have registered company in western european banks and bank account there. May be we could register new company in another country with low taxes or offshore zone)?

    - The server shoud be PCI DSS sertified - i am not sure what level it should be and eventualy what is the approximately cost for that?

    Thanks in advance,
    George

Welcome aboard Kobo, well well, another one with herbal supplements, I'm afraid that you will face huge difficulties to find any payment processor accepting your business.

As I already suggested to another forum member then you should try to approach Failsafe Payment and PSBILL, if they can't help you I will say it will be impossible to find any reliable payment processor for your business, but I could be wrong of course.

    Thanks you for your answer.

Will it be more easy to find payment processor with hosted page without API or it doen't matter?

Finding a payment gateway that allows you to do server to server integration it's hard by possible, European banks are more open than offshore ones.

Regarding the PCI, you need to do a quartly scan of your server that will handle the credit card number. ie: it cost from $360 per year for McAfee. they are others companies that provide this services as well. You need to have some good tech admin to setup and fine tune your server in order to pass the certification.

Why don't you incorporate in Cyprus with cclogic ? it's a good way to low your taxes.

If you need more info or help you can contact me by PM or email

    Thanks baian,

i will consider incorporation in Cyprus with cclogic, i am wondering is it possible to find processing after that with API or at least the visitors stays at our website.

I was thinking about registering a company in Delaware and use Authorize.net for processing but i am not sure Authorize will accept Delaware company + herbal products websites, do you know is it possible?

    Thanks in advance,
    George

If you are not a US citizen then your chances of finding a merchant account for a company incorporated in US are really very low. In fact, if you incorporate in Delaware you will be subjected to corporation tax.

Authorize.Net is just a payment gateway, you will need an internet merchant account from an acquiring bank in US to work along with that. You will also need a corporate bank account.

If you have an EU base company (Cyprus with cclogic seems the best solution) there are payments gateways that offer Server to Server API / integration, so your clients won't leave your site to do the payment. If you have trouble to find a gateways using this service, you can always contact me. If you have question about PCI certification do not hesitate to ask in this thread.
