I have a company incorporated in Cyprus with a bank account in Cyprus. I need to accept online credit card payments and to be able to transfer payment money to my bank account regularly.
As I understand it Paypal doesn't allow this for Cyprus. If your account is in Cyprus you can only transfer your money to a credit card - is that right? Does anyone have experience of this?
Can anyone recommend other options? I'm looking for a simple solution to begin with (so would rather not do merchant account/payment gateway). I'd love your advice
Thanks.
Hi rocket, welcome hope you enjoy.
Have you looked at WorldPay, they accept companies from Cyprus, also they do offer 3.party processing.
Maybe you should tell a little about what it is you are selling?
Is this a new business?
How much volume do you have on a monthly basis?
Above few questions would help in order to refer you to any service.

Worldpay isn't supported by Ubercart.
It's a new company, sells software downloads, low monthly sales.
Some people have told me that PayPal actually IS possible in Cyprus and that you can transfer funds from a PayPal account to a Cypriot bank account. PayPal insists that this isn't possible, but I know at least one business that does it.
Anyone know about this?
Looks like the only other solution is going to be JCC and merchant account.
Or am I wrong?
Well, if the payment processor isn't supported in Ubercart, you will have some options here.
a) you find a other system / script which can do the same as ubercart, I assume there are plenty of them.
b) you go to elance or rent a coder and ask them to integrate the payment gateway / processor you want to use.
You will even find companies which might already have a plugin for your script available for a few $$
Yup, find a system which is supported by as many processors as possible, don't limit yourself from the very beginning with some ordering system which is supported by only a few of the major processors out there.
