How to open a bank account in Europe

Hi,

I want to operate a business in europe, and I am on the way to get an UK LLP company registered. I need to get a bank account opened in Europe, and I am thinking about Isle of Man. My initial deposit is 1000 $, and I personally earn around 70k$/year. Does anyomne here knows if it is possible to open a bank account in the isle of man with this initial deposit? Do you have any other suggestion? (Please don't mention Cyprus).

I have been reading CCLogic forum for a while now, and I am still looking where CCLogic's service and fees are displayed. Please help.

Hi cooluhuru.
Any special reason to look at Isle of Man?
For safety as for privacy, isn't the best you can have in EU.
There are other possibilities with better conditions (f.i. Switzerland or Luxembourg)

Anyway, in the Isle of Man you have IOM Bank, Barclays and HSBC.
If your LLP is represented by a UK citizen/resident, you have far more banks available in fact the 3 banks I mentioned are the only allowing non-UK citizen/resident to open an off-shore account (including LLP companies).

Hope this helps, anyway I would not suggest Isle of Man to my customers.
